Facilitating a peer mentorship program requires being mindful of the different experiences, backgrounds, and identities each individual brings to the mentoring relationship. From recruiting and training to matching, there is a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes. Hull House Real Recovery and ANAD both understand the commitment it takes to create a safe and healing place for all.
With this in mind as well as the shared values between the two organizations, Ann is placing her trust, resources, and support in ANAD to continue the incredible work of the Hull House Real Recovery Peer Support program. The move was approved by the Hull House Real Recovery Board of Directors and the changes are now being implemented between the two organizations.
The ANAD Programs Team has already met some of the peer supporters from Hull House Real Recovery who are joining the ANAD volunteer community and we are beyond inspired by their passion for helping others heal. We firmly believe this move strengthens the community and opens the door for many more to heal.
